In addition, China Unicom and Google will engage in cooperation to enable wireless search in Android handsets jointly launched by the two companies. The move is seen as an important part of the company’s 3G development strategy.Android, the flagship software platform of the alliance, is based on an open source license and will compete against other mobile platforms created by Apple Inc, Microsoft Corp, Nokia Corp, Palm Inc, Research In Motion Ltd and Symbian Ltd.
